Gallagher Tree Service

About Gallagher Tree Service

Rumney's cliffs pull climbers from everywhere, and below them the Baker River runs cold and clear over its stones all summer long. Gallagher Tree Service works the village and the river road, where big hardwoods lean out over old farmhouses and the pines on the ledges above stand on thin footing. A removal on a slope takes rigging and a plan, trimming a limb back off a barn roof takes a steady hand, and pruning is what keeps a dooryard maple worth keeping. When a thunderstorm crosses Rattlesnake and lays a tree across the drive, the cleanup runs until every piece is out, down to the small stuff people trip on. Standing back at the end of it with the cliffs turning pink is fair trade for a long day.
