About Rotten Rock Logging & Tree Service LLC

Cathedral Ledge catches the first sun over Conway, and on a January morning the valley beneath it is all blue shadow and woodsmoke. Rotten Rock Logging & Tree Service LLC is out in it, removing a pine from over a roof while the ground is frozen hard enough to carry the weight, trimming limbs off the wires along a back road, saving pruning for the still days. Wet snow and ice storms are this valley's real editors, and once they have had their say the cleanup is cutting a way out to the road first and tidying second. Working under the Moats means ledge, steep pitch and light that quits at four, so the day gets planned backward from dark. When mud season lets go and the Saco comes up green, the yards along it are clear, squared away and ready for summer.
