About K. Clough's Landscape & Design, LLC

There is a week in late October when the Merrimack runs cold and the maples on the ridge let go all at once, when the rakes come out before the plow blades go on — and that hinge is where the year turns for K. Clough's Landscape & Design, LLC. Working out of Concord, they set retaining walls and walkways into ground that is mostly granite a foot down, lay patios, pool decks, and driveways, build fire pits and outdoor kitchens, and cut the drainage and excavation lines that tell meltwater where to go. Winter sends them to commercial lots while the streets are still dark and salt-blue; spring brings them back with cleanups, cleaning and sealing, and the steady maintenance that keeps a designed landscape reading the way it was drawn. The pleasure of it is physical and it keeps: a wall still level after a hard freeze, a walkway square through mud season, a lot cleared wide enough that nobody has to think about it.
