Classen's Tree Service

About Classen's Tree Service

Two rivers meet the road in Campton, the Pemigewasset running broad past the village and the Mad River coming down out of the notch in a hurry, and the yards along them are half lawn, half woods. Classen's Tree Service keeps that edge where people want it, trimming hemlock back from a camp roof, removing dead ash before they turn brittle, pruning to open a view of the water without stripping the bank. Summer thunder builds fast over the Sandwich Range and drops limbs on its way through, so cleanup fills the days after, bucking, dragging, chipping, and leaving the gravel drive raked flat. It is a good feeling, a cut so clean you cannot spot it from the porch and a woodpile squared at the tree line. By September, when the river runs low and clear over the ledges, the work has already gone invisible.
