About Francestown Sand & Gravel

Bennington sits where the Contoocook takes its bend and the mill stands over the water, and the roads out of the village climb quickly toward Crotched Mountain. Storms park in that bowl and stay a while, which is why we're out plowing before most of the town is awake. Driveways get opened wide, turnarounds get pushed back so the banks don't creep in by February, and walks get cleared and treated right down to the pavement. An open drive at six in the morning is a small mercy, and we treat it like one. Cold hills, early starts, honest work.
