About GreatView

There's a week in Barrington when the last leaves come off the oaks along the Isinglass and the first hard frost silvers the ledge, and the work turns right along with it — rakes and mulch forks set down, plow blades bolted on. GreatView is a landscape company working out of Barrington, New Hampshire, where white pine runs down to the lakeshores and granite sits close under the grass. In the green months they mow and aerate, mulch beds and keep them, set annual flowers, transplant trees, prune and trim, and run the spring and fall cleanups — and they build the stone that stays through it all: patios, granite walkways and steps, retaining walls, columns, fire pits, pool decks, outdoor kitchens, water features, lighting, irrigation and drainage, excavation. Come winter it's plowing, snow removal, and parking-lot sweeps, and any month of the year they'll bring mulch, screened loam, crushed stone, round stone, road base, or firewood right to the door. It is a satisfying arithmetic — a crisp bed edge in June, a driveway open before the school buses run, a yard that holds its season and shows the hand that shaped it.
