The Northern Rail Trail runs straight through Andover on the old railbed, and the town spreads along it between Ragged Mountain and the Blackwater River. Biron Landscapes keeps the lawns on either side — mowing through the season, trimming the edges a deck leaves behind, and cleanups in spring and fall that clear the ground for whatever comes next. Up here the grass starts late and finishes late, so the calendar matters nearly as much as the cutting. A yard kept even all summer looks intentional rather than accidental. Around Highland Lake in late June, that is a lovely thing to drive past.
