About Lawnmark Plus

Lawnmark Plus works to a rhythm you can hear from the road — the low steady note of a mower turning its lap, the scrape of a blade finding pavement, the small hand-work at the end where a line gets walked straight and made true. In Amherst the ground asks for that patience: stone walls that wander off into the pines, dooryards sloping toward the Souhegan, a village common ringed in white clapboard where a lawn is half the picture and everyone notices when it holds. Summer here is long green light through old maples, and the crew leaves behind edges crisp enough to run a finger along. Then the year turns, the valley goes quiet and blue-white before sunrise, and the same hands are out ahead of the plows and the school buses, opening a driveway back up so a morning can simply begin.
