About Jalbert Contracting LLC

First light comes up over Alton Bay and finds the ladders already leaning, the day's work laid out along a roofline, a run of cedar siding, a deck waiting to be brought back. Jalbert Contracting LLC works the hills and shoreline of New Hampshire's Lakes Region, out of Alton and Gilmanton Iron Works — roofing, siding, exterior painting, cedar and log home stain refinishing, decks, windows, and the patios and pergolas where a summer evening finally gets its due. There is a plain, physical satisfaction in this trade: a wall that sheds weather again, a rail worth leaning on, a line that reads straight from the road. Come winter, when the lake goes flat and white and the pines carry their load, the work turns to snow removal — drives opened while the hills are still dark. It is exterior work in the truest sense, giving a house back its footing in the place it stands.
