About Colby Property Maintenance

Late in October, Alexandria hands one season to the next — the last maple color comes down off the Cardigan slopes, the Fowler River runs cold and loud, and the work turns from what grows to what falls. Colby Property Maintenance is a snow removal outfit in this hill town west of Newfound Lake, where driveways climb, back roads pitch and roll, and a single storm can rewrite a dooryard overnight. The satisfaction in it is plain and physical: a route run in the dark, banks pushed back square to the treeline, a walkway cut clean enough that the granite step shows again, and a house that wakes already able to leave. They keep at it for neighbors across Alexandria and the Newfound towns, storm after storm, until the ground finally lets go in spring.
