About KM Landscaping Inc.

The hills between Yutan and the state park land to the east hold onto snow long after the town's own streets have thawed bare, banked deep in the timber along their draws. KM Landscaping Inc. works into the evening some days, finishing driveways and lot approaches after dark when the temperature drops hard and any leftover slush needs clearing before it turns to ice overnight. The school here empties out early on the worst days, and a lot plowed clean by the time parents arrive makes that whole scramble easier. Out past the last houses, the land dips and rises toward the river bottoms, snow catching blue in the last of the light. Finishing a route by headlamp, the last driveway of the night left clean under a sky already gone full dark, has its own satisfaction, quiet and entirely unwitnessed.
