Maple Creek runs along the west side of West Point before it joins the Elkhorn, and the fields nearest it are the first to catch a hard frost most winter nights. Wp Sprinklers LLC spends its summers on lawns and irrigation lines out that way, but come snowfall the same trucks and the same familiar driveways get plowed clean, blade scraping down to pavement before the cold locks any wet spot into ice. Evening is often the busiest stretch, catching the last light over the Elkhorn valley before working on into the dark on lots that need to open again by morning. The same ground tended in July with a sprinkler head gets a plow blade in January, a different tool for a different month, same familiar stretch of yard either way. A driveway left clean and dry overnight is one less slick spot waiting for whoever pulls in first thing.
