B-Green Lawn Care

About B-Green Lawn Care

Superior's old Victorian houses wear their gingerbread trim year-round, but in winter it's the porches and front walks below those houses that B-Green Lawn Care is out clearing before most of Nuckolls County is awake. The company keeps these same yards trimmed and mowed the rest of the year, so winter work follows a route the crew could probably walk blind—down one tree-lined street, up the next, working around the ornate iron fences that mark off the oldest lots in town. Snow tends to catch in the gingerbread eaves and porch rails here longer than it does on plainer houses, needing a broom as much as a shovel to clear a walk properly. Morning light comes in low and gold across these old rooflines before the day gets going, catching on icicles the crew hasn't gotten to yet. By the time Superior's downtown starts to stir, the walks along its Victorian blocks are bare again, ready for whoever still takes the morning walk to the corner store.
