About Sloup Mowing LLC

Beatrice stops all at once. One block of houses, then a section road, then corn to the horizon with the elevator standing up behind you like a landmark you can steer by. Sloup Mowing LLC works that seam where town lots meet open country, which means a quarter-acre front yard one hour and a wide unruly acreage the next. Mowing is the whole trade here — steady weekly cuts, height set to the July heat, trimmed edges along drives and outbuildings and mailbox posts, ditch banks and back lots knocked down before they get ahead. In the long light after supper the finished ground runs flat and clean all the way to the fence line, and that is exactly the point.
