About Cuttin it close lawncare

Seward calls itself Nebraska's Fourth of July City, and by the first week of July every strip of grass along the parade route has been asked to look its part. That is the week this lawn care outfit works toward — mowing, string trimming and edging until the line between turf and sidewalk is one clean stroke you could follow with your eye. Mornings start early, before the heat stacks up over the Plum Creek bottoms and the bandshell fills with folding chairs. The rest of the year is quieter work: the regular cut, the trimming, hauling off what the season drops. But the pride is the same in November as it is in midsummer — a yard in Seward that looks like somebody meant it.
