Allen's Tree & Landscaping

About Allen's Tree & Landscaping

The cottonwoods along the North Platte turn all at once in October, and for two weeks the river bottom below Scottsbluff is the loudest color in the county. Allen's Tree & Landscaping spends those weeks in the yards above the bank — trimming, raking, taking the last growth of the year down to an even nap before the cold sets the ground. Tree work and landscaping run together in a town where nearly every shade tree was planted on purpose by somebody who wanted relief from that sky. Mowing, edging and cleanup fill the long middle of the year across Scottsbluff, Gering, Terrytown and Minatare. There is real satisfaction in the last haul of the season: a lawn raked bare to the fence, a crown lifted, a yard that will wake up right come April.
