About Well Rooted Gardens

The garden beds that Well Rooted Gardens tends all summer in the Field Club neighborhood go still and white by December, tucked under snow the crew now has to work around rather than through when it comes time to clear a driveway. A yard planned around curving beds and stone borders needs a plow pass, or more often a shovel, that respects those edges instead of scraping a straight line across them, so the clearing here is close, careful work rather than a fast pass with a blade. Walkways that wind between planting beds get shoveled by hand down to the pavers, and ice melt goes down in a way that won't wash into the beds once thaw starts. The driveway itself gets cleared to bare concrete, wide enough for a car but narrow enough to leave the yard's shape intact underneath the snow. It's the same care given to a garden in bloom, just turned toward keeping a house reachable during Omaha's coldest months.
