About Hatchers Lawn & Landscaping

West and north of Blair the land stands up into loess hills, and the gravel section roads run over them like seams, past acreages with more grass than most people know what to do with. Hatchers Lawn & Landscaping works that country in the middle of a July day, when the heat sits heavy on the hilltops and mowing a place takes real hours. Big open yards are their own kind of problem — ditches, slopes, fence lines, tree rows — and getting all of it cut evenly is the craft of it. There is something worth stepping back for in a wide acreage mowed and trimmed all the way out to its edges, the fence line tight, the drive shoulders sharp. Out here a yard reads from a quarter mile away, so it has to be right clear to the far corner.
