Papillion Creek runs along the line where Omaha gives way to La Vista, the trail beside it quiet and snow-covered by the time an evening storm finishes its work. Driven Lawn Escapes plows the driveways and lots along that border after the last flakes fall, working into the evening so nobody's leaving for a night shift or coming home late to a buried driveway. Walkways get shoveled and salted before the temperature drops further and turns slush into a solid sheet. Lots near the creek corridor get banked away from drainage points so a thaw days later doesn't turn a cleared lot into standing water. This is border-of-the-city work, half Omaha and half whatever's just past it, and most of it finishes well after dark.
