About Diamond Cut Lawns Inc.

Late afternoon along the old Field Club streets, with the oaks throwing long shade and the light going amber, is when a well-cut lawn shows what it is made of. Diamond Cut Lawns Inc. cuts for that hour: parallel passes laid down with the light, edges trued along the walk, the turf reading as one continuous plane instead of a patchwork. The lots in these neighborhoods are deep and shaded near the house and full sun at the curb, so the cut has to account for both. Trimming finishes the geometry — around the iron fence, the porch steps, the bases of the big trees — and the clippings come off the concrete before the crew pulls away. Grass grows all summer whether anyone looks at it or not; the craft is making it look like someone did.
