Blizzard Boys

About Blizzard Boys

Out toward the Elkhorn River valley you can watch a storm arrive from miles off — a gray line building over flat fields northwest of the city before it ever reaches the first rooftop. Blizzard Boys times its runs to that approach, plowing driveways and lots on Omaha's western edge before the heavier bands hit, so nobody's stuck digging out in the worst of it. Walkways get shoveled and salted on the same pass, steps cleared before ice sets into them overnight. Cul-de-sacs and commercial properties alike get worked in order, snow banked wide enough to leave room for the next round. Out here the wind doesn't stop at a property line, and neither does the plow.
