About Burtt's Outdoor Services

In March the South Platte comes apart into a dozen shallow channels, sandbars steaming in the sun, ice giving up along the banks in slabs. That is the signal Burtt's Outdoor Services waits on — ground softening, the first green pushing up through last year's thatch. Cleanup comes first: winter grit and broken limbs raked out, beds cut back, the lawn opened up so air and water can reach the roots again. Then mowing settles into its weekly cadence, edges cut sharp, feeding timed to the way the grass is actually growing. Around North Platte a lawn earns its color, and the work is what earns it.
