Mr 5 to 9

About Mr 5 to 9

July light hangs over Nebraska City long past supper, gold on the bluffs and the last of the heat lifting out of the streets. That is when Mr 5 to 9 gets after it — mowing in the cool half of the evening, trimming while the mosquitos are still deciding, edging a drive with the porch lights just coming on down the block. Working the far end of the day means yards get finished when families are home to see them done. Mowing, trimming, edging and cleanup are the list, kept simple on purpose and kept on time. There are few better sights than a fresh-cut lawn going blue in the dusk.
