About Schroeder Lawn Service

Pioneer Village draws visitors to Minden year-round, and even in the dead of winter the grounds and the lots around it need clearing before the gates open — Schroeder Lawn Service treats that historic stretch of town with the same care it gives any Kearney County yard. Downtown Minden's older brick storefronts sit close to the street, and snow off a roofline can pile onto a sidewalk fast when the wind is right, so mornings start with a walk down Main before the shops unlock their doors. The work is straightforward: scrape the walk to concrete, clear the lot, break up the ice before a delivery truck or a visitor's car needs the space. Winters here run long enough that a crew learns which corners of downtown catch drift first and which stay clear on their own, and that knowledge shortens the morning route considerably. By midmorning, the sidewalks along Minden's old storefronts look like any ordinary day, whatever the weather did overnight.
