About Green Thumb Lawn Service, LLC

Milford took its name from a mill and a ford on the Big Blue, and the river still swings its timbered bend along the edge of town. Green Thumb Lawn Service, LLC works the yards on both sides of it — mowing in even passes, trimming around stone beds and old trees, edging where lawn meets walk. Spring here is loud with runoff and green comes up fast in the bottomland, so the first cuts of April set the shape everything else follows. Through summer the route holds steady, beds kept clear of trimmings, gates closed behind them. A Milford lawn kept that way looks settled — much the way the town itself does, under its old trees on a warm evening.
