ABC Sprinklers

About ABC Sprinklers

Before the first pickup rolls down Norris Avenue, the plow has already squared off every angle downtown, storefront to storefront, so McCook opens its doors onto bare concrete instead of drifted white. This is Red Willow County in January — a hard blue sky, wind coming straight across miles of open plains with nothing to slow it down before it hits Main Street. ABC Sprinklers spends its summers reading water through a lawn and its winters reading snow the same way, watching where the wind piles it against a fence line or a garage door before a flake even falls. The result is simple and satisfying: a driveway apron scraped to the pavement, a front walk safe underfoot, a McCook morning that looks like any other. There's a particular pride in beating the wind to a yard, in leaving a property looking tended no matter what the sky is doing.
