Havelock was its own railroad town before Lincoln grew out and took it in, and the neighborhood still reads that way in winter — brick storefronts close to the sidewalk, houses set tight on their lots, streets narrow enough that Schultz Snow Removal runs the plow slow and works the tightest spots by hand.
