About Lawn Masters

Late in the day the water at Holmes Lake goes flat and copper, and the long slope of grass above the dam turns the color of a good lawn just after it has been cut. Lawn Masters works the neighborhoods that ring that water, where the ground rolls enough to make a straight mowing line an actual accomplishment. Southeast Lincoln greens up fast in a wet spring and then leans on shade and watering through the dry weeks of late summer, so the height of cut moves with the month rather than staying put. There is a plain kind of pride in pulling out of a driveway and seeing even stripes running the length of a sloped yard, edges tight, nothing left along the fence. The lake is a mile off and the standard is the same on every street between.
