Garys Lawn & Landscape

About Garys Lawn & Landscape

Along Salt Creek on Lincoln's south side, Wilderness Park stretches for miles under bur oak and cottonwood, and on a July afternoon the cicadas there drown out everything but the wind. Garys Lawn & Landscape works through that same high-summer hum, out where the city's yards bake under a white-hot Nebraska sun. The lawn care is steady and unflashy: a mow that keeps the grass from running to seed, and a trim that holds the turf back from concrete too hot to cross barefoot. Heat is hard on a lawn, and regular tending helps it keep its color into August. When the shadows finally stretch across the grass at dusk, the yard looks as if it came through the day with ease.
