About Elite Sprinkler

Come summer, Elite Sprinkler keeps water running across the ballfields and fairgrounds on the edge of Beatrice, the same grounds that fill up every August for the Gage County Fair. Winter empties all of that out — bare bleachers, silent outfields — and the company's trucks switch from running irrigation lines to clearing the gravel lots and access roads around those same grounds after a snowfall. The fairgrounds sit low and open, catching wind off the surrounding farmland with nothing much to break it, so drifts build fast across the lot even when town itself only gets a light dusting. Clearing that kind of open ground takes a different approach than a tucked-in driveway — wider passes, more attention to where the wind is pushing the snow. It's the same outfit, the same ground, working the opposite job on the calendar from the one that made its name.
