Lawn Cowboy

About Lawn Cowboy

Out past town the roads run straight as string, with fields on one side and fields on the other. Lawn Cowboy keeps the yards along those roads — mowing, string trimming, edging clean along drives and walks, clippings cleared off. The wind can come across with nothing to slow it down, and a lawn holding a sharp border against it is a small, stubborn kind of pride. Spring and fall cleanups take the leaves and the winter's leftovers off the turf so the grass can breathe again. Come August, when the fields go tall and the air goes still, those mowed lines are the tidiest thing for miles.
