About Cheney Lawn Care & Snow Removal

South of Lincoln, where the city gives way to rolling section roads and acreages strung out toward Stagecoach Lake, Cheney Lawn Care & Snow Removal runs a route with more gravel miles on it than curb. Wind out here has nothing to slow it down, and it can rebuild a drift across a farm lane almost as fast as the plow clears it, so the crew learns to read which low spots will fill in first. Long driveways back to farmhouses get the same attention as any city block, because out here a blocked lane can mean missing a whole day of work in town. Reaching the last acreage on the list and finding a straight, clean lane running back through open country to a house that was cut off an hour earlier makes the whole gravel-mile route worth running. By the time the plow turns back toward the city, the fields on either side are easing back into a quiet that only holds out here.
