About Green Landscapes

Wind is the constant out here — it crosses the Phelps County flats with nothing to slow it down, and it will take a loose pile of grass apart in about four seconds. Green Landscapes plans around that, mowing with the day, running the trimmer close along foundations and fence lines, edging the walks, and getting the cut grass up off the concrete before it scatters. On a Saturday morning near the courthouse block the mowers make their rounds and the town grows a little tidier one address at a time. Early in the year the work is clearing away what the cold months piled up; late in the year it is leaves, which around here arrive sideways. The reward is simple enough: a crisp edge, a clean drive, a yard that reads well from the sidewalk.
