About Brand-Neu LLC

The first white frost of October settles over Holdrege overnight and burns off by nine, and for that one hour every lawn in town is silver. Brand-Neu LLC works straight through those cooling weeks — the last mowings of the year, edges cut back tight, leaves cleared from where they pile along the cedar shelterbelts and the north side of the fences. Then the mowers return in April, when the grass wakes up brown and needs a first cut before it finds its color. Between those two ends of the calendar it is mowing, edging and clean walks, one week at a time, under the shadow of the water tower. Phelps County weather does whatever it likes; the yards still get their turn.
