About Benjamin's Landscaping Corporation

Holdrege sits high on the tableland between the Platte and the Republican, where the center pivots draw their slow green circles and noon light comes down with nothing at all to break it. Benjamin's Landscaping Corporation keeps the town's yards under that light — mowing in even passes, trimming what the mower cannot reach, edging along curbs and driveways, and carrying off what comes down. On ground this open, a lawn is the one shaped square of green a person makes by hand, and it deserves a straight line. Spring cleanups clear away what winter left in the beds; autumn drops the leaves more or less all at once. Every finished yard is a small argument for order out on a very wide plain.
