About Arrow Services

Arrow Services keeps its trucks moving along the industrial edge of Grand Island, where the Union Pacific yards run through the night no matter the weather and shift workers need a clear lot before a 6 a.m. changeover. Out here the ground is flat enough that a hard wind crosses it with nothing to slow it down, so drifts pile against fence lines and rail cars fast, and this crew plans on a second pass before the first one's even finished. The county roads running straight out from town follow that same flat logic, and Arrow's routes trace them the same way, one industrial lot after another, clearing that edge of the city before daylight ever reaches the quieter blocks closer to downtown. This is winter work timed to freight schedules and shift changes, not to a morning commute. By the time the yard crews are back at it after a storm, the ground underfoot is already dry pavement.
