About Wearparts Tillage Tools

Wearparts Tillage Tools spends most of the year keeping the shears and points sharp on the tillage equipment that works the corn ground around Gothenburg, and when that ground freezes solid the same shop turns its attention to blades of a different kind. The irrigation canal that cuts along the edge of town runs low and often skims over with ice by January, a quiet line through fields gone stiff and white under frost. A shop that already knows how heavy iron behaves under strain is a good one to have clearing a long farm lane, where a plow blade can hit a frost heave or a buried culvert the same way a tiller can hit a rock. Gothenburg's grid of streets stays fairly easy going by comparison, and this crew moves between the two — a farmstead lane one hour, a residential driveway the next. By the coldest part of a January morning, the shop's own lot is usually the last thing cleared, the trucks already out working everyone else's ground first.
