Cummins Lawn Care

About Cummins Lawn Care

Dawn reaches Gering the long way around — over the tablelands first, then down the shadow the bluff lays across the valley floor. Cummins Lawn Care is usually out in that shadow already, deck spinning, dew still silvering the grass along the curb line. The work is plain and it is exact: mowing, edging, string trimming the strip beside the walk until the border between lawn and concrete reads as a decision rather than a smudge. By the time the shade pulls back off the streets and the morning goes bright and dry the way panhandle mornings do, a whole block stands at one honest height. There is real satisfaction in looking back down a street and seeing the stripes line up.
