AB Tree Injection & Spray Service

About AB Tree Injection & Spray Service

Ice forms first on the highest cottonwood limbs above the Cedar River, and AB Tree Injection & Spray Service already knows which of those limbs won't hold the weight. That same read on a landscape — where the stress sits, where the weak point waits — carries straight into winter, when the crew turns from spray tanks to plow blades along Fullerton's short grid of streets. The Nance County courthouse sits at the center of a town small enough that a single truck can clear most of Main before the diner opens its doors. Out past the edge of town the bottomland along the Cedar goes white and still, fence lines holding their shape under the snow while the roads into town stay open. It is early, unglamorous work: the walk salted, the drive scraped down to gravel, the ice-heavy branch dropped before it can drop on its own.
