Love Your Lawn

About Love Your Lawn

April in Fremont arrives all at once: the grass at Barnard Park goes green inside a week, robins work the outfield of every backyard, and the mowers come out of the garage. Love Your Lawn meets that first flush of growth with a schedule that keeps pace, plus trimming around fences, beds and mailbox posts. Weed control and fertilizing set the color for the months ahead, and a spring cleanup clears whatever the cold months left in the corners. A cut lawn in this town is a kind of greeting to the street. That is the point of the work — a yard that looks glad to be looked at.
