About Falls City Sanitation

Falls City Sanitation's trucks are already working Falls City's alleys before most of the county seat is awake, running the same routes past the same back gates every week of the year. A snow morning just adds a stop to that route: clear the alley, clear the curb cut, so a bin set out early can actually be reached and emptied instead of buried until next week. Knowing every alley and cul-de-sac in town — which ones drift shut first, which curb the truck always clips — makes the second job fast, because it's really the same job, keeping a path open between the street and the door. By the time Falls City's downtown blocks near the courthouse square start their day, the alleys behind them are already clear.
