About Fairbury K-Lawn

The neighborhoods Fairbury K-Lawn mows all summer sit mostly on the west side of town, streets that back up toward the county fairgrounds and go quiet once the fair lights come down for the year. Snow finds those same streets differently than it finds downtown — drifting along fence lines, piling deep where a windbreak of cedars breaks up the open view toward the Little Blue valley. The crew works those yards from memory once winter sets in, clearing driveways in the same order it mowed them all season, trading the smell of cut grass for the scrape of a blade on cold pavement. It's a short list, tended closely, the same properties looked after no matter what's falling from the sky that week.
