Lawn In Order

About Lawn In Order

Elwood sits up on the tableland, where the wind has nothing to lean on. West of town the reservoir holds its blue against the grass, and the canals carry water out across Gosper County all summer long. Lawn In Order keeps yards here mowed, trimmed and edged through that long green stretch — straight passes, clean lines, the grass laid over in one direction like a field seen from the highway. Late afternoon is the good hour: the heat easing, shadows running long off the water tower, one last strip finished before supper. Cleanups follow when the leaves let go and a yard needs putting right before the cold. Elwood is home base, with Johnson Lake, Bertrand, Smithfield, Lexington and Holdrege close at hand.
