Dans lawn and snow removal

About Dans lawn and snow removal

Davey is small enough that its whole stretch runs along one section-line road, a grain elevator standing over the rest, open fields pushing right up against the yards on either side — which means the wind off those fields does most of the drifting, and Dans lawn and snow removal does the rest. The same mower that keeps these yards trimmed every summer gets swapped for a blade the morning after the first real snow, working driveway by driveway down a road where everybody already knows everybody's gravel apron by heart. There isn't much distance between properties out here, but there's plenty of open ground for snow to travel across before it piles against a garage door, and clearing it early is the difference between a quick drive toward Waverly and a stuck truck. By midmorning the short run of driveways along Davey's road sits bare, fields still white on either side.
