Pettit Lawn Service

About Pettit Lawn Service

Fair week at the Ag Park, and Columbus fills with livestock trailers, midway lights, and that particular August air still warm at ten at night. Pettit Lawn Service is out on its rounds all the same, because grass keeps no calendar and never has. Mowing, trimming, edging, and clearing the walks of what the deck throws — the routine that keeps a yard from ever getting away from anybody. The reward is small and daily: a mailbox trimmed round, a driveway edge you could set a level against. That is the work, all over Columbus and out along the country roads that run from it.
