About Jake's Custom Lawns LLC

By late July the cicadas run loud in the trees along Giles Road, and the grass grows in fits between storms. Jake's Custom Lawns LLC takes the evening end of those days, mowing while the heat lets go and the light turns long and gold across Chalco. Each yard gets its own cutting height and its own pattern — custom is right there in the name — with string trimming around posts, hydrants and playsets, and edges held true along the concrete. Cut grass and stray leaves are cleared off the pavement before the truck pulls away. There is a plain satisfaction in a lawn that looks rested at dusk.
