KW & Sons Tree Service

About KW & Sons Tree Service

The Republican River runs along the south edge of Cambridge, lined with cottonwoods that stand bare and gray through the winter months, throwing long shadow-lines across the yards that back up to the water. KW & Sons Tree Service works those riverbank properties carefully, since a foot of snow under a cottonwood canopy behaves differently than the same foot out in an open yard — patchy where branches held some of it back, deep where it slid straight through. The crew clears driveways along the river road first thing, while the morning light is still low enough to show every uneven drift the trees have left behind. Away from the water, Cambridge's in-town streets run flatter and more even, quicker work once the river properties are done. It's a town split between open farmland and a wooded river edge, and the plow routes follow that same line every storm.
