Danny’s Lawn Service

About Danny’s Lawn Service

East of town the land gives out into river bottom, and the Missouri goes by wide and brown past Haworth Park while barn swallows cut the air above the levee. Evenings, Danny's Lawn Service is finishing a route in that low gold light, the last yard of the day mowed in long unhurried passes. Trimming comes next — fences, posts, downspouts — and then the walks cleared so nothing is tracked indoors. Come autumn there are leaves to haul out, and in spring the winter's wreckage to rake off before anybody takes a first cut. Bellevue, Papillion and the towns close by keep the truck moving from thaw to freeze.
