Turf Paradise

About Turf Paradise

There is a week in late March when Beatrice makes up its mind. The wind still comes hard and flat off the open ground south toward Blue Springs, but the frost lets go, the dormant tan goes faintly green at the crown, and everything that blew into the yard all winter is suddenly visible. Turf Paradise meets the year right there — raking out the matted thatch, clearing the drifted debris, edging the walks back, and taking the first cut of the season before the growth gets its legs under it. From there it becomes routine: weekly mowing, fertilization and weed control through the long heat, and cleanup again when the trees empty out. A lawn that looks alive the first warm Saturday of spring sets the tone for every month after it.
