About Trauernicht Tree Services

Outside Beatrice, a lot of the farmsteads still stand behind shelterbelts planted generations ago — rows of cedar and evergreen set as windbreaks long before anyone alive today was clearing snow for a living. Trauernicht Tree Services prunes and maintains those same tree lines most months, and come winter knows exactly how they change the way snow falls: catching wind on one side, dropping deep drifts on the other, right across the farm lane a plow needs to use. Clearing a driveway behind a shelterbelt means reading which side of the trees the wind was blowing from, not just clearing what's visible from the road. The company's trucks work those outlying farm lanes alongside driveways closer into Beatrice itself, moving between open farmland and town blocks in the same afternoon. It's snow work shaped by trees a farmer's grandfather planted for an entirely different reason.
